Technically speaking, the black Trans Am’s engine ‘ruggled’, though it was more commonly referred to as a “purr” – and occasionally referred to as a “roar” by the very insecure; the Trans Am itself would describe it as a grumble, akin to a teenager awakened at six in the morning for their first day of high school, but despite an Evangelical dedication to care and maintenance, its owner was oblivious to these subtle differences in engine tone, and equally inconsiderate of the effect of revving its engine. Today was payback.
