a cure for the common block

It had been a long day for Jeffrey; his day began with a morning swim through the
lake, garnering a flurry of blurry photos from tourists; followed by a lunch of crows
and nannies in the park; then a 16-mile slog through the sewers with an occasional
wailing and gnashing of teeth through the gap in the gutters; a quick nap to recharge
just before the moon rose; ending with a two-hour hunt-and-slaughter of campers in
the nature preserve. His day at end, he slipped into bed to rest up for the next day’s
work; truly, Monsters Lead Such Interesting Lives.
